India, June 23 -- The death toll of Odia workers in the ammonia gas leak tragedy at a seafood processing factory in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district has risen to six. Another injured worker from Odisha succumbed while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Jamuni Juanga, a resident of Keonjhar district. She had been receiving treatment after suffering serious health complications caused by exposure to toxic ammonia gas following the leak at the factory.

Earlier, five Odia workers from Keonjhar district had lost their lives in the incident. They were identified as Gumani Juanga, Geeta Juanga, Champabati Juanga, Shibani Juanga and Phulomani Juanga.
