Ruling party trying to win student union polls through undemocratic means, alleges Oppn BJD
India, Oct. 9 -- Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has adopted undemocratic means to secure victory of its candidates in the student union elections in higher education institutions across Odisha.
"BJP MLAs and Ministers are trying to influence the authorities of colleges and universities for favourable results in the student union polls. While the BJP is undermining democracy in the country, it is now attacking democracy in campus politics as well," said the Naveen Patnaik-led party.
