India, July 1 -- Amid uproar over errors in school textbooks, the Odisha School and Mass Education Department on Wednesday assured that corrected and error-free versions of the books will be made available to students soon.

Addressing a press conference, School and Mass Education Secretary N. Thirumala Naik said the state government has taken the issue seriously and is working to rectify the mistakes at the earliest.

He said experts and educationists are currently reviewing the errors in the textbooks. Once the corrections are completed, the revised editions will be uploaded on the department's official website, allowing students and teachers to easily access the corrected versions.
