India, Sept. 27 -- A Revenue Inspector posted in Odisha's Rayagada district died after reportedly falling ill while playing cricket at a ground in Rayagada on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as P. Rajesh, who was working as a Revenue Inspector in Gudari block.

According to reports, Rajesh was playing cricket at the RCC playground near IEAC College in Rayagada. He had reportedly been playing as a wicketkeeper when he began feeling unwell and informed his fellow players.

Shortly afterwards, he reportedly collapsed on the ground. His fellow players immediately rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Rayagada, where doctors declared him dead.
