India, Aug. 9 -- Reacting to the recent controversy surrounding Ravenshaw University, former legislator Soumya Ranjan Patnaik has urged all stakeholders to come forward and resolve the issue amicably.

Speaking on the matter, Patnaik said the student protest appeared to have been triggered by a relatively minor issue. He described it as an internal matter of the university that should have been handled within the institution itself.

He questioned the involvement of Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi in the controversy, alleging unnecessary interference had escalated the situation.
