Police ASI arrested by Odisha Vigilance for taking bribe from eatery owner
India, Aug. 30 -- Odisha Vigilance has arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police and his associate for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an eatery owner in Sundargarh district.Odisha Tourism Packages

The accused have been identified as Madan Mohan Pradhan, ASI posted at Lahunipada Police Station, and Mandeep Kumar Dasmodak, an individual and Pradhan's associate.
According to Vigilance officials, the duo was caught on Saturday while demanding and accepting Rs 20,000 from the eatery owner. The money was sought in exchange for not arresting the complainant and helping him in an excise case registered against him and his younger brother.
