Odisha Vigilance nabs Nayagarh Junior Engineer for accepting Rs 1.36 lakh bribe
India, May 17 -- Odisha Vigilance on Sunday apprehended a Junior Engineer of the Bhapur Rural Works Section in Nayagarh district along with his associate for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1.36 lakh from a contractor to clear pending bills and facilitate refund of security deposits.
The accused has been identified as Keshab Subudhi, Junior Engineer of Bhapur RW Section, while his associate, Ashutosh Baliarsingh, is a private individual allegedly engaged by the engineer to act as a supervisor.
