India, June 24 -- Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Padmalochan Nayak, Executive Engineer of CADA, Sambalpur Division, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case after uncovering substantial movable and immovable properties allegedly beyond his known sources of income.

According to Vigilance officials, searches conducted at properties linked to Nayak revealed assets that he could not satisfactorily account for. The assets detected include three buildings, among them a multi-storeyed building measuring about 18,840 square feet at Kataka, 18 valuable plots, cash worth Rs 3.45 lakh, three four-wheelers, two JCB machines, a tractor and a trailer, besides other assets.
