India, Sept. 29 -- Odisha Vigilance has arrested Shishir Kumar Dash, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Mathili Block, attached to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Malkangiri, in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.

Dash was arrested after Vigilance searches allegedly revealed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. He is scheduled to be forwarded to the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Brahmapur, on Tuesday.

According to Odisha Vigilance, searches of properties linked to Dash led to the detection of two multi-storeyed buildings with a combined area of around 9,300 square feet, six high-value plots, bank deposits amounting to Rs 82 lakh and a four-wheeler, among other assets.
