India, May 27 -- The Odisha government has suspended the transfer and posting of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), Odisha Revenue Service (ORS), and OMAS officers serving in urban local bodies.

The decision was taken in view of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in the state.

In a notification issued on Wednesday, the Housing and Urban Development Department stated all transfers and postings of these officers have been kept in abeyance with immediate effect until further orders.
