India, July 14 -- The Odisha Crime Branch on Tuesday detained former State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Director Manoj Padhi for questioning in connection with the alleged irregularities in the preparation of school textbooks that triggered a major controversy in the state.Odisha Travel Guide

Padhi was being questioned by the Crime Branch as part of its ongoing investigation into errors found in newly published textbooks for Classes I to VIII. Earlier, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had placed Padhi under suspension.
