India, Aug. 27 -- Odisha Police conducted a special enforcement drive in Kataka and Bhubaneswar on the night of August 26, targeting drunken driving, illegal arms, illicit liquor, narcotics, criminal activities and traffic violations.

The drive was carried out on the directions of the Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha, with intensified night patrolling and checking across the two cities. Women's safety, prevention of crimes against women, organised crime, and action against drugs and illicit liquor were among the key priority areas.

As many as 336 Cadet Sub-Inspectors were deployed during the operation to participate in field enforcement and gain practical exposure to policing activities.
