India, March 20 -- In a major push towards clean energy transition and modern urban infrastructure, Odisha government has initiated the process to formulate a comprehensive City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy.

The move aims to expand access to piped natural gas across urban centres, streamline regulatory processes, and position the state as a leader in sustainable and citizen-centric energy solutions.

High-level meeting charts roadmap for CGD expansion A high-level consultative meeting was held at Kharabela Bhawan in Bhubaneswar under the chairpersonship of Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, to initiate the formulation of a comprehensive City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy.
