India, March 20 -- The state-level Pakhala Paraba was celebrated on the occasion of Pakhala Day to promote and preserve Odisha's culinary heritage 'Pakhala' during the beginning of summer.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the event at Panthanivas in Bhubaneswar today. He described pakhala not merely as food, but as an integral part of Odisha's culture and tradition.

Massive Pakhala prepared for Guinness Record attempt In a major highlight, the Tourism Department prepared 1,177 kg of pakhala using 850 kg of rice, aiming for a Guinness World Records entry. The initiative drew significant attention from attendees and food enthusiasts.
