India, Nov. 7 -- The Odisha government has placed Sami Reddy Jayashree, an Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer and Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kantamala in Boudh district, under suspension with immediate effect.The Revenue and Disaster Management Department issued an official order on November 6, 2026, stating that a disciplinary proceeding against Jayashree was contemplated.

The suspension order was issued by the Governor of Odisha under Rule 12(1)(a) of the Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962.Odisha News updates

During the suspension period, Jayashree's headquarters will be at the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division) in Sambalpur.
