Odisha expands automated challan system to 4 more highway corridors
India, July 31 -- The Transport Department has expanded the Intelligent Enforcement Management System (IEMS) to four more highway corridors across Odisha as part of state government's commitment to curb road safety violations.
Electronic challan (e-Challan) enforcement on these newly notified stretches will commence on August 1. "As per the direction of the Commerce and Transport Minister, the IEMS has been extended to four more highway corridors in Odisha as part of the state government's sustained commitment to strengthening road safety, curbing road safety violations and promoting responsible road user behaviour through technology-driven enforcement," said the State Transport Authority (STA).
