India, March 12 -- A youth sustained grievous injuries after being hacked by a group of miscreants near Gangadharnagar in Odisha's Ganjam district on Wednesday. The injured has been identified as Suryanarayan Behera (32), alias Pintu, a resident of Balajipentha Sahi. He suffered multiple sword injuries on his left hand during the attack.Odisha

As per reports, the near-fatal attack took place in the evening close to Sriramnagar under Bada Bazar police station limits when Pintu had gone to Gangadharnagar. During his visit, he reportedly got into an argument with a few youths over a minor issue. As the argument escalated, the accused persons allegedly chased him and attacked him with a sword.
