India, May 23 -- The state government has asked the Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) across Odisha to engage guest faculties on contractual basis for the Academic Session 2026-27.

The Higher Education Department of the state government has sent a communique in this regard to the Principals of all TEIs recently.

In the communique, the department has asked the TEIs to initiate the process for the preparation of a fresh panel of teaching faculties for engagement as guest faculties on contractual basis for the Academic Session 2026-27.

The process should be carried out in accordance with the NCTE guidelines, said the letter.
