India, May 3 -- The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation (OMFED) has increased milk prices across the state, raising retail rates by Rs4 per litre. The revised prices have come into effect from May 5.
Under the new pricing structure, toned milk will now cost Rs54 per litre, up from Rs50. Premium milk has been revised from Rs54 to Rs58 per litre. Gold Premium milk will now be sold at Rs60 per litre, compared to the earlier Rs56, while Gold Premium Plus milk has increased from Rs60 to Rs64 per litre.
Half-litre milk packets that earlier cost Rs27 will now be available at Rs29.
