India, Sept. 26 -- An armed robber allegedly looted more than 30 gold rings from a jewellery shop at Paradip town in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district in broad daylight on Saturday, triggering panic among local residents.

As per reports, the accused arrived at Sadhana Jewellery in Tarinigada area of Paradip on a Pulsar motorcycle with his face covered with a cloth. He allegedly brandished a firearm at the two women employees present at the shop and demanded gold jewellery and cash.

When the employees resisted, the accused reportedly threatened them with the gun and fled with more than 30 gold rings. He reportedly escaped on the motorcycle immediately after the robbery.
