India, May 27 -- The construction work for the 13.2 MTPA integrated steel plant of JSW Utkal Steel Limited at Dhinkia near Odisha's Paradip town commenced today.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai, Chairman & Managing Director of JSW Steel Sajjan Jindal, senior officials of the state government, industry leaders, corporate representatives, stakeholders and members of the local community were present on the occasion.
The construction work of a state-of-the-art blast furnace along with critical ancillary facilities such as coke oven and sinter plant infrastructure as part of the proposed integrated steel plant began on Wednesday, said the state government.
