India, Sept. 25 -- A court in Odisha's Angul district has sentenced 10 people to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a watchman at Derjang dam five years ago.

The Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ) Court in Angul sentenced the 10 accused persons to life imprisonment after convicting them in the murder of Derjang dam watchman Jagannath Senapati, alias Jagan.

According to the case details, the incident took place on September 18, 2021. At around 8.30 pm, Jagannath was allegedly taken on a motorcycle to the eastern embankment road of Derjang dam near Rantalei village on the pretext of discussing arrangements for a feast.
