India, Sept. 27 -- Album actress Jasmin Majhi, who had reportedly consumed poison in a suicide attempt two days ago, died while being treated at a hospital in Odisha's Sambalpur district on Sunday.

As per reports, Jasmin (22) of Ghuchapali village under Khaprakhol police limits in Balangir district had allegedly consumed poison on September 25 (Friday).

She was admitted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) at Burla in Sambalpur in a critical condition.

Jasmin, who was also a popular 'Kirtan' (devotional song) singer, succumbed while being treated at the premier health institute on Sunday, reports said. She had acted in several Sambalpuri music album.
