India, March 17 -- At least one person died while six others sustained serious injuries in a late-night series of road accidents in Odisha's Bhadrak district on Monday. The mishap took place near Ranital Bazaar at the Rahanja-Asura junction on National Highway 16 under Bhadrak Rural Police limits late in the night.
According to reports, the sequential crash was triggered when a truck collided with a bus that had been on the roadside. Shortly after, another truck rammed into the same bus from behind, triggering a chain reaction. A pickup van carrying liquor then crashed into the truck, worsening the situation.
The driver of the pickup van was trapped inside the vehicle for over four hours and was declared dead at the scene. Fire services...
