India, March 10 -- In a significant boost to railway connectivity in Odisha, the Central Government has approved a new Amrit Bharat train service connecting Podanur Junction in Coimbatore with Dhanbad.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi through a letter about a new Amrit Bharat train from Podanur to Dhanbad via nine stations in Odisha.

According to the Railway Minister, the newly sanctioned train will strengthen rail connectivity among Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Jharkhand, facilitating smoother travel and improving regional transportation links.
