National Flag hoisted upside down at Independence Day event in Odisha's Sundaragada
India, Aug. 15 -- An alleged disrespect to the National Flag was reported during the 80th Independence Day celebrations organised by the Subdega block administration at the New Odisha High School playground in Sundaragada (formerly Sundargarh) district on Saturday.
According to reports, the Tricolour was allegedly hoisted upside down during the block-level celebration in the presence of thousands of people. The green band of the flag was reportedly positioned at the top, while the saffron band was placed at the bottom.
The incident occurred during the official Independence Day programme attended by several dignitaries and local residents.
