India, Oct. 6 -- An alleged case of administrative negligence has come to light at the Thakurmunda Community health Centre (CHC) in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district, where the body of a 40-year-old man remained inside the hospital for more than 36 hours without being sent for post-mortem.

The deceased has been identified as Shyam Marndi, a resident of Tentala village in Bahalda area.

According to information, Shyam was admitted to the Thakurmunda CHC at around 2 pm on October 4. While undergoing treatment, he got up from his bed in the evening to urinate. Instead of going to the bathroom, he was walking down a ramp when he slipped and fell.
