India, Aug. 19 -- A 64-year-old man was killed in a road accident on Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway near Pipili early Wednesday morning after a speeding SUV lost control and hit the motorcycle on which he was travelling.

The accident took place around 4 am. According to reports, the SUV was travelling from Puri direction towards Bhubaneswar when it first ran over a bull near Gudiapokhari. The bull died on the spot.Travel Guides & Travelogues

The vehicle then lost control near the Pipili toll plaza and hit a man riding a motorcycle. The man fell from the two-wheeler and died at the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Ashok Kumar Das. He had gone out to pluck flowers when the accident occurred.
