India, May 19 -- A family dispute between a man and his wife took a violent turn in Odisha's Kendrapara district after he was allegedly tied up and assaulted at his in-laws' house.

The injured man, identified as Sudarshan Sethi of Alaile village under Mahakalapada police limits, was initially admitted to Pattamundai Hospital and later shifted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack after his condition deteriorated.

According to reports, Sudarshan had married Purnima Sethi of Bandhasahi village under Pattamundai police limits around three years ago. However, differences reportedly surfaced between the two after a year of marriage, leading to frequent disputes.
