India, Nov. 7 -- In a major step towards modernising public transport system and promoting eco-friendly mobility, altogether 25 electric buses will operate on eight key routes across Odisha's Ganjam district.The initiative aims to make public transport more modern, accessible and environmentally sustainable while improving connectivity between major destinations across the district, said the state government on Saturday.

The proposed e-bus services will connect important locations, including Berhampur, Chhatrapur, Gopalpur, Sonapur, Taratarini and Hinjili, making daily commuting more convenient for passengers, it added.
