Gas Leak Tragedy: Death Toll of Odia Workers Rises to Eight; Last Rites of Five Held in Native Villages
India, June 24 -- The death toll of Odia workers in the ammonia gas leak tragedy at a seafood processing factory in Tamil Nadu has risen to eight following the death of Subasini Juanga from Keonjhar district.
On the other hand, the last rites of five workers from Keonjar who died in the mishap were conducted today in their native villages.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid floral tributes to the deceased at Bhubaneswar Airport before the bodies were sent to their respective native villages in Keonjhar district.
