Ganjam Engineering Student Suicide Case: Post-Mortem Report Rules Out Pregnancy, Confirms Death by Hanging
India, June 22 -- The post-mortem report in the alleged suicide case of a 20-year-old student of a private engineering college at Golanthara in Odisha's Ganjam district has ruled out claims that she was two months pregnant and confirmed that her death was a case of suicide by hanging.
Dr. Sudeepa Das, Head of the Forensic Medicine and Toxicology Department, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, said the autopsy findings do not support allegations about the student being pregnant. She also clarified that the examination found no evidence of murder and established that the student died after hanging herself.
