Fresh low pressure area likely to form over Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Odisha coast around August 29
India, Aug. 27 -- A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal and north Odisha coasts around August 29, according to the latest weather forecast.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said an upper air cyclonic circulation over south Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal is currently extending over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-north Odisha coasts. The system is located between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level and is tilting southwestwards with height.
Under the influence of this circulation, a low pressure area is likely to develop over the same region around August 29.
