India, July 29 -- The flood situation in Odisha has claimed at least four lives and affected more than two lakh people in six districts, informed Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Rajesh Prabhakar Patil on Wednesday.Odisha Economy Updates

As per the flood status report issued at 9 am today, a total of 2,03,208 people in 748 villages, 233 gram panchayats, 44 blocks, six urban local bodies, and four wards have been affected by the floods.

Advertisement Authorities have evacuated 27,967 people to safer places, while 226 villages remain marooned. The floods have also claimed the lives of nine livestock animals.
