Former IAS officer Nityananda Mohanty among three convicted in corruption case in Odisha
India, Sept. 3 -- Dhenkanal: Former Dhenkanal Collector and retired IAS officer Nityananda Mohanty was convicted along with two others in a corruption case involving the alleged misappropriation of around Rs 9 lakh in government funds.Discovering City Tours
The Special Judge, Vigilance, Dhenkanal, on Thursday convicted Mohanty, former Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Suryanarayan Das, and transport contractor Satyananda Balasamanta. The court sentenced each of them to one year of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine.
