Fake job racket busted in Odisha's Ganjam; 3 women among 4 held
India, Sept. 4 -- The police have arrested four persons, including three women, on charges of duping several youths by promising them government jobs in Odisha's Ganjam district.
The arrested have been persons have been identified as Narayan Sethi and Deepa Behera of Paikajamuna village under Kabisuryanagar block, Bishnupriya Behera of Purunagram and Sunita Das of Agastinuagaon.
According to police, a fake interview was being conducted at a private Kalyan Mandap in Chhatrapur on Thursday, with the accused allegedly promising jobs such as peons and accountants in different blocks and tehsils. Suspicion arose when the accused allegedly demanded large sums of money from the candidates during the interview.
