India, May 13 -- A girl student of a private engineering college was allegedly gang-raped by four youths in the Kaimatia area under Infovalley police limits in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, one of the accused had trapped the girl in a love affair before committing the crime. The girl was called to her boyfriend's room in a mess, where she was subsequently gang-raped by him and his friends.
Following the complaint, the Commissionerate Police launched an investigation and arrested four accused, all stated to be college students. Police also conducted a detailed examination at the crime scene.
A scientific team has joined the investigation, and a further probe into the incident is underway.
