India, Oct. 12 -- The police have arrested a youth on charges of crashing his car into several two-wheelers and other vehicles on Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway (NH-316) near the Odisha capital on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Rath, the son of a city-based realtor.

As per reports, Rath allegedly drove his car on the wrong side and hit at least seven two-wheelers and a few other vehicles on NH-316 in the morning.

Rath was in an inebriated state while crashing his car into other vehicles on the NH, reports said.

The cops arrested Rath after registering a case against him under Section 109 (attempt to murder) of the BNS.
