India, May 3 -- A contractual worker lost his life in an accident at the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Prakash Swain, a resident of the Bali Jodi area. He was working at the Calcining Plant-2 (CP-2) unit of RSP.

According to information, the incident took place at around 4:20 pm while Swain was cleaning the roof sheets in the CP-2 section. He reportedly slipped and fell from a height of nearly 20 feet. He was immediately rushed to the in-house medical centre and later shifted to the Ispat General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
