India, Sept. 18 -- A 12-year-old Class VI student died after drowning in a pond while she had gone to take a bath before attending school in Soro area of Baleshwar district on Friday morning.Download Travel Guides

The deceased has been identified as Sanjita Das of Bagada village under Manatri panchayat in Soro police station limits. She was a Class VI student at Manatri English Medium School.

According to reports, Sanjita returned home after attending tuition in the morning and went to a pond near her house to take a bath before leaving for school. However, she did not return home for a long time, prompting her family members to alert the Soro Fire Services.
