Centre approves doubling of Paradeep-Haridaspur rail line in Odisha
India, July 15 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today approved the doubling of Paradeep-Haridaspur railway line in Odisha.
The CCEA has also given approval to Rajkharsawan - Dangoaposi 4th line in neighbouring Jharkhand. The two projects will be executed with an allocation of Rs 3,907 crore
Paradeep-Haridaspur rail line is a strategic 82 km railway corridor in Odisha that connects the mineral-rich hinterlands of the state to Paradeep port. The rail line passes through Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Jajpur districts of Odisha.
