India, Sept. 28 -- XtalPi Holdings Limited (2228.HK), an AI- and robotics-driven drug and materials discovery company, announced the submission of an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the U.S. FDA for KQTD-126 for chronic intestinal pain.
The chronic intestinal pain is associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The company said IBS affects approximately 10% to 15% of the global population, while more than 10 million live with IBD.
Chronic abdominal pain remains a burden for patients with both conditions, including some patients with IBD whose underlying inflammation is controlled with standard therapies.
