India, Oct. 6 -- Initial cues from the U.S. Futures Index suggest that Wall Street might open positive on Tuesday on hope that the crude exports from the Middle East are recovering. In the Asian trading hours, oil prices were sharply lower.

Gold prices were modestly higher.

Brent crude prices were below $100 a barrel and Brent crude futures fell 1.6 percent to $98.76 a barrel. WTI crude futures were down 1.9 percent at $87.73 a barrel.

Spot gold edged up 0.30 percent to $4,152.68 an ounce while U.S. gold futures were up 0.6 percent at $4,179.55.

As of 7.55 am ET, the Dow futures were up 358.00 points, the S&P 500 futures were adding 17.35 points and the Nasdaq 100 futures were progressing 196.75 points.
