India, Sept. 15 -- Vossloh AG (VOS.DE), a German rail technology company, said on Tuesday that it has acquired Rail Technology International Pty Ltd, an Australian specialist in automated rail inspection, to boost Vossloh's capacity to assess the condition of rails as well as its data and analytics capabilities.
Rail Technology uses ultrasonic and eddy current technologies to detect internal and near-surface rail damage at an early stage. The systems can be installed on off-road hi-rail trucks, inspection trains, or push trolleys.
