India, Aug. 6 -- US Foods Holding Corp. (USFD), a foodservice distributor, on Thursday reported higher second-quarter profit, mainly driven by increased sales. The company also confirmed its full-year outlook. Its shares were nearly 5% up in pre-market trading.
Net income increased to $275 million, or $1.24 per share, from $224 million, or $0.96 per share, a year earlier.
Excluding one-time items, adjusted earnings were $317 million or $1.44 per share.
Operating income climbed to $443 million from $372 million last year.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 10.2% to $604 million.

Net sales rose 4.5% to $10.532 billion from $10.082 billion a year ago.
