India, May 1 -- Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (TCNNF) has officially filed applications with the Drug Enforcement Administration to register certain state-sanctioned medical marijuana operations using a new, faster track for approval.
This step comes on the heels of medical marijuana being reclassified to Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act. This change allows eligible operators to apply for federal permissions to legally make, distribute, and sell cannabis products.
If companies submit their applications within 60 days, they might automatically get the green light unless they hear otherwise from the DEA.
