India, Aug. 3 -- After moving sharply lower over the past few sessions, treasuries showed a strong move back to the upside during trading on Monday.

Bond prices surged early in the session and remained firmly positive throughout the day. As a result, the yield on the benchmark ten-year note, which moves opposite of its price, slumped 5.9 basis points to 4.686 percent.

With the decrease on the day, the ten-year yield gave back ground after ending last Friday's trading at its highest closing level since early January 2025.
