India, Aug. 25 -- The Thai stock market has ticked lower in consecutive trading days, slipping more than 15 points or 1 percent along the way. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now sits just beneath the 1,600-point plateau although it may open in the green on Wednesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is upbeat on sinking crude oil prices and optimism for an end to the Middle East conflict. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets are expected to follow the latter lead.
