India, July 20 -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said a lab test that initially suggested a Taylor Farms lettuce sample was positive for Cyclospora should now be treated as a false positive after agency experts reviewed the result again.
As of Sunday, the FDA said none of the product samples had returned a confirmed positive test for the parasite.
Taylor Fresh Foods said the FDA told the company the original test result was wrong and that no product samples had been confirmed positive for Cyclospora. The company added that the FDA apologized for the error.
