"The Rainbow Room," set in early 80s New York, is described as a stunning atmospheric electronic song paying homage to love, loss and friendship, all wrapped up in an extraordinary moment with vistas to match.

About the semi-autobiographical nature of the song, Marc Almond said in an interview with John Earls at Classic Pop, "I did celebrate my birthday - my 21st or 22nd - at The Rainbow Room in the Rockefeller Center...
